Fill in Your Brows Like the Pros with Ashleigh Burton
Let’s face it, the struggle can be real when it comes to getting that perfect brow. A lot of my clients complain that they can’t even get them to match. That’s when they hear my famous line: "Remember, they are sisters, not twins!”.
I am an esthetician and often times will wax my own eyebrows. Not necessarily something I would suggest to everyone. Especially those who tend to over tweeze (You know who you are!!). Every now and then I will go get them shaped. If I didn’t have my own wax pot, I would likely schedule this every two to three weeks because I am horrible at keeping up with tweezing in between my waxes. Can you say “unibrow”?!
I have a few gals that I trust with my brows. Someone that I LOVE to go see for a good brow shaping and that I would like to highlight in today’s post is my friend Ashleigh Burton at Tandy Lash Lounge. Not only is the space absolutely adorable, they also offer several amazing services and accessories. But Ashleigh herself is simply amazing at her craft. For people who want to get their brows back into shape or simply learn how to fill in and make it look like your brows actually have shape, Ashleigh is a must see!
We met each other years ago while working at Nordstrom. I instantly loved Ashleigh! Sometimes you can be intimidated when you first meet someone that is tall, blonde and strikingly beautiful. Fortunately, this was not the case with her. She is one of the sweetest girls right off the bat. She instantly made me feel like we had been friends for years.
Be sure to watch the video and see how she works her magic!

Three must have brow products?
- Brow Defining Pencil- I cannot live without a brow defining pencil to outline my brows to create definition and structure. (She uses Ananstasia Brow Wiz in “Taupe”).
- Brow Powder- I use Kelley Baker Brow Powder in blonde. I use this to fill in the majority of my brows because it is softer than a pencil, so you avoid having harsh looking brows. I personally think layering both powder and pencil creates a long lasting brow and you won’t go through either product super fast.
- Concealer Stick- I use the Kelley Baker Highlighting Stick (in light). I love this because it comes in two universal colors that literally melt into the skin. I refer to this product as the magic eraser. After outlining my brows with a powder, I use this on the top and bottom of my brows to clean up any imperfections. In turn, it makes my brows look crispy clean. This product is probably the biggest Brow game changer I’ve come across in the last few years.
How often should one wax?
Every 4-6 weeks. I see majority of my clients every 4 weeks. It's best to leave your brows alone in between appointments as much as you can so that you don’t accidentally alter your brow shape. I train my clients to “lightly” clean up certain areas that may start to drive them crazy in between appointments, but I highly suggest not touching them.
When you aren’t making beautiful brows, where would one find you?
I love being active! I’m a big runner and love being outdoors.
